Following our 'True North'

"Through researching Caravan brands to purchase my own new van for myself and my two kids + pup, I wondered what would be involved for me to start up my own caravan dealership, as I absolutely LOVE caravans! After months of enquiries as well as finding out how each brand was built, the perfect partnership with Australian Made manufacturers Malibu Caravans was created!

I have been to the factory on numerous occasions, and describe it like being a kid in a candy store, it is so awesome to see somebody's dream caravan being completely custom built from start to finish, right in the heart of Melbourne.

I am thrilled to be bringing these stunning Malibu Caravans to the Limestone Coast; Mount Gambier and surrounding areas. The support already has been overwhelming, and thank you to everyone who has called in, said hello and wished me well with my new business.

As a single mum, I want True North RV to give my children an insight into running their own business, while also showing them the importance of putting in the work and following their dreams, and to show my kids that if you work hard and are passionate about something, you can really make things happen. If it sparks something in you, then follow that dream and give it your best shot.

With a 22 years + career in and Trade Qualification in Graphic Design, Magazine Production, Marketing, Video Production, Website Design and a Diploma of Social Media Marketing, this business is a great combination of my skills and my passion, underpinned by my love of caravans, camping and the outdoors. 

The business name is very meaningful to me. To follow your ‘True North’ is to be your authentic self, a combination of your values, your beliefs, and your purpose. Your own moral compass. True North is also your calling, and what you want to accomplish in your life.

The name also happens to be one of my goals, to road test my vans up north during the colder months, along with my 2 kids and Ruby dog.  We will enjoy documenting our travels via social media, blog and videos, and hopefully connect with many people around this wonderful country and get a few orders along the way!

Keeping things local, here at True North RV we have also teamed up with Darren at DP Marine & Caravan Repairs in Millicent to offer services and installation of optional extras such as an Aussie Traveller annexe, to compliment the existing awning. 

Gambier Towing and Transport is my trusted choice for our Caravan Transport. Craig Barrett who also happens to be my uncle, can arrange transport of your van anywhere in Australia, and regularly transports my stock from Melbourne to Mount Gambier for our customers. 

I am passionate about all things outdoors, adventure, travelling to new places, and most of all, camping. There is no better feeling than getting away with those most important to you and creating memories together. 

It is even better when you roll into camp in your Malibu Caravan - a 5* Hotel on wheels! True North RV is what dreams are made of and i'm so excited for the future, both on a personal and professional level.
